- New Adult ER entrance and expanded waiting room featuring new registration desk and private stations
- Two new triage rooms
- 10 new exam rooms
- Full renovation to the existing ER, including the addition of a secure 8-bed flex pod
- Private family gathering room
- Total capacity of the adult ER increases from 28 to 43 beds

Our children deserve the best, especially in emergencies. That’s why we have a distinct children’s ER through the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center.
- 24/7 Pediatric Emergency DepartmentOur Pediatric Emergency Department is staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency physicians and specially trained pediatric nurses, so your child is always in expert hands. From the moment you arrive, you’ll find a welcoming, family-friendly waiting area designed just for kids, completely separate from our Adult Emergency Department. With an eight-bed pediatric ER, we’re equipped to provide urgent care in a space dedicated solely to children.
- Dedicated Pediatric Inpatient UnitShould a longer stay be necessary, we offer a dedicated 10-bed pediatric inpatient unit. This unit is fully equipped and staffed by board-certified pediatric hospitalists who work closely with our pediatric-trained nurses to deliver exceptional, family-centered care in a comforting environment.
- Patient and family-centered careWe get it; hospitals can be scary. That’s why our team consists of Certified Child Life Specialists who help our young patients navigate the stress of medical treatments through education and play, creating a calmer environment where they can recover physically and emotionally.
